I’m Paul Wright, aka Waggit. I prefer to be called Waggit as I think Paul is the most boring name in the world. Sorry to all other Pauls out there! I live in small village called Much Hadham in Hertfordshire England. I run a small graphic design company called Rubber Cheese.

I’m a perfectionist, a lover of football (soccer), eternal optimist and laid back

I’m passionate about design. I have been a professional in this industry for nearly 10 years. I like anything that looks nice to my eyes and makes me think. I also like randomness. I think randomness makes the world go round and keeps things interesting.

My main strengths are in branding and designing for the web. I love the way that the principles of designing for the web are always changing. Pushing the boundaries whilst creating accessible websites and pushing my web developers skills is always joyful to me! Not sure they love it as much though.

If you’d like learn more about Rubber Cheese please visit my website: http://www.rubbercheese.com/

When I’m not in design mode I am usually out with my mates or my wife doing something that probably includes a couple of alcoholic beverages!

I have always loved art. My first true experience with art was not in photography but in fact painting. Even in childhood years, I realized the freedom, the expression and and the storytelling possible with art.

I ventured into photography in adolescence and reconnected with it in my twenties. I  combine the external environment with a person’s internal environment, or their personality to create images. To me, many of my images are juxtapositions between a revealed self and a hidden self; both are relevant, both are true.

Some people think that photographers are painters or models on the inside, hiding and afraid. Not so. Though there is some of me that is revealed and some that is hidden, I still see myself for who I am and I am not afraid. For me, a portrait like this one of me does reveal me. There is more to me than just my face. There is my story. And a camera and photography is a part of that story. Expressing that story and others’ stories is my passion. I believe that the only way to truly be free is to explore that which you are passionate about and to excite passion in others. Thus, as a photographer, I am free.]

I’m 4D and I’m a ‘wannabe’ creative, I’m a work in progress, a sketch before the blueprint. I am working on it though. Currently I see myself as a corporateMonkey, a Professional Geek, with a day job to pay the bills, and an extreme interest in design, photography, engineering, and art. I spend most of my lunch hours in the city art galleries, and most of my nights studying good looking things on the web, with aspirations to create things just as good.

I’ve been using the internet since 1996, and I figured it’s about time to try and put some of the things I’ve learnt from it into practice. So I’m working on putting together a collection of works, as well as doing something with a work colleague who has similar ideas to me. We’ll see what the future brings on that front.

I’ve made the odd website, both personal and paid for, yet nothing I’m extremely proud of yet, I know I can, and will do better.

People fascinate me.  The way we look, the way we speak, the way we interact, what we listen to, what we watch…

I grew up as an “Army brat” and ended up bouncing all over the world as a child.  I feel that I’m blessed to have had those experiences and to remember them as vividly as I do.  The internet and all this social networking has truly made this world so much smaller and I love every bit of it.  You can connect with just about anyone else in the world in an instant.  That’s truly amazing and hope I never take that for granted.

I’ve been drawing people my whole life.  Creating portraits of people is one of my favorite things to do.  I love photography, doing graphic design work, or just simple craft work as well, but when I get to recreate someone’s image – whether it be on a canvas with a whole spectrum of colors in oils or with a black ball point pen on a napkin – that’s when I’m at my happiest.

I love meeting new people and networking – there’s always something I can do for someone and vice versa – find me and let me know what it is!

Karma is my name. Spies is my surname. Elizabeth goes somewhere in the middle. I thrive off creativity. There’s nothing like the feeling you experience when creating – be it something important or something that does not matter at all. Its like time stands still and everything else fades out of focus.

Being a ‘creative’ these days means something completely different to what it used to. There are so many more mediums and platforms to explore. I more than often find myself feeling absolutely overwhelmed by all the creativity out there. Its a lot to live up to, and if one wishes to make a name for herself these days it naturally means being able standing out of the crowd.

Today this is what I work toward. Finding a unique style that I can truly call my own, a real extension of myself rather than just something I made or created. I live in South Africa and have never traveled abroad (something I dream of doing with every passing day), and hope that one day my work will give me such an opportunity.

I’m Sheldon Evans, a 15 year old freelance designer living in Johannesburg, South Africa. I enjoy everything about design, seriously who doesn’t? Everyone likes to look at stuff that is visually stimulating and admire the amount of creativity that went into creating the work.

Older and more experienced designers are the people that I look up to and admire. When I was younger I knew that I would grow up and do something in the IT world but I had no idea I would be doing design, nor did I have any idea that I would be doing it before I grew up.

I love the internet and everything about it, you could call me the typical “internet-aholic”, meaning I’m the ultimate geek. Many people think that geeks are these guys that spend their whole lives in front of the computer screen, well, you’re right we do.

I’ve got one last thing to say, we’ve all heard the quote by Albert Einstein, “The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources”. I think this is nonsense, I believe in originality. If you are original you wont have to waste time hiding your sources nor will you have to worry about someone finding out where you got the idea or who you copied it from.

“Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.”

“An indicator has a value when it’s indicating something, but if it’s not it shouldn’t be there” – a great design is based on principles like this one. Most importantly, it has the most true value in web design where art meets functionality. Weird, but there’s no united opinion how to call this combination. And that’s great, because being a part of the mysterious area is extremely attractive occupation and lifestyle.

My name is Osvaldas Valutis. I’m a 21-years-old freelance web / identity designer and web developer based in Vilnius, Lithuania.

I develop and design functional, creative, details and usability oriented websites as well as web applications by exposing the simplicity and the latest web standards as the main principles. During more than 6 (starting from 2009) years in the web industry I have worked with many different people on various projects and as a result I gained some unique and strong experience in the IT field and generally – life.

What fascinates me about life is how sometimes it’s the small things that deliver that bit of magic. Like saying “please” and “thank you” can take us far in life, or the buttons on a shirt.

I’ve also always heard people saying that you shouldn’t sweat over the small stuff. There are times, though I beg to differ. Depending on the context, sweating over the finer details can mean going the extra mile. And that is what Krftd.com is about. A celebration of ideas and things big or small with that little something extra. Sharing the love and admiration for good tastes and inspiring ideas.

If you’ve come across whimsical things that you would like to share please get in touch. Or if you are looking for an offbeat discovery that is informative and fun, we hope you will appreciate Krftd.com. And so, we say thank you for your time, hello and enjoy.

I’ve been making stuff up and writing stuff down my whole life. My parents first encouraged me to share my creative works when I drew a mouse the size of my three-year-old self on our back door, where it stayed for years.

My first published poem appeared in my hometown newspaper when I was ten, the same paper that later paid me to write features for special publications. It was also when I was ten years old that I decided Billy Joel had the coolest job in the world, because he didn’t just sing songs, he wrote them. However, except for the occasional songs I ad-libbed into a tape recorder during make-believe radio broadcasts, it would be almost two decades until I began songwriting in earnest.

I recorded my first real songwriter demos in 1993. Three years later, I started The Lyrical Café, a songwriting chat group on IRC, and bought a nice guitar and took lessons. And then I let life distract me and stopped. I write of it here, because I have always promised myself I would start again; I’m making it publicly known to keep myself honest.

I have a California teaching credential, a Master’s in Crosscultural Teaching, and recently made good on another promise to myself: stop teaching and start doing the kind of creative work that feeds my spirit, full time.

So, now there’s me, the writer, and me, the vocalist, and we both have business cards. And my only child, a daughter who is a 20-year-old U.S. Marine, says she is as proud of me as I am of her.

And that’s something.

Hey there, my name is Louis Gubitosi A.K.A @iBlend.  Right now I work for Liz Claiborne designing and developing websites.  When I’m not at work, I try to learn more and stay updated as much as I can with design trends using one of my favorite resources… Twitter.  I can’t explain how many doors and opportunities this has opened up for me.

I graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts with a graphic design degree and wasn’t really sure how I’d be able to make a living off of print design.  I was always interested in gaming and computers, so I figured a good mix for a career would be to blend my design skills with the internet.  I never took a class in web design, flash or any other online programs, but my curiosity and self progress kept me very much involved.  I started doing static sites for friends (nearly for free) and learned a lot just from playing around with the tools and programs.

When I discovered Twitter, I dove head first into WordPress.  It was everywhere and I had to be involved in the movement.  If the freelancing business is slow, I try to give myself at least one personal project a month to work on.  Right now I’m dabbling in developing a site using Drupal.  I’ve been using WP for a couple of years and customizing Drupal is the complete opposite.  I think it’s great to learn different CMS systems because they all serve different purposes, and at the same time I’m able to expand my awareness of the “web world”.  Thanks for your time, and I hope to see you guys around.

Hey, I’m Mariusz Cieśla. I design things. I code markup. I’m a typography and semantics freak. I love good design, good food and good design. I love to cook. I love my fiancee. I like things that work.

Hello, my name is Mariusz and I am living in a beautiful city of Krakow, Poland. I am a web, print and identity designer slash UI developer. I love letters, mostly because of my strong background in graffiti. I used to be a writer myself and few of my old pieces can still be seen on trains and walls around the city. I am a laid-back kid at heart and will always prefer a hoodie over a suit and a small, friendly company over a well-known, enormous conglomerate. I collect vinyl toys and baseball caps. All of my works are highly influenced by the street culture.

I am keen on social media – I love to share, therefore I am an active blogger for a few years now (even though I started to write in English just recently) and I “spam” Twitter with links that I find inspiring or interesting. 2009 for me is the year of establishing a serious, recognizable design brand on the global market, and I’m using social media to achieve that.

Hello! My name is Brian K. McDaniel, founder, president, janitor but mostly designer at bkmacdaddy designs. I’m a completely self-taught, always learning, wildly freelance graphic and web designer these days.

In the past I have made a living being a vocalist and keyboardist for nightclub bands in Hawaii and San Francisco, with opening gigs for The Cult and The Spin Doctors as high points. After that I spent 10 years as an ordained Southern Baptist Worship Pastor, but walked away from organized religion to return to my passion for creativity, design, great music and freedom.

These days I spend every waking hour creating and learning and loving my wife of 20 years and my 3 kids. Yes, I know I don’t look that old and I love it! My secret: avoid exercise, long walks, and any food that is so healthy it tastes bad. Instead I embrace life to the fullest extent, drink and eat whatever tastes best and involves an experience, and challenge the status quo with every breath. You should try it if you’re not already!

So those are the things I do, but I learned a long time ago not to be defined by what I do. Really, who I am is: a husband, a father, a friend, a creative being who is passionately pursuing the best that life has to offer with everything in me. Won’t you join me?

My name is Daniel Agee. I tell everyone I love peas, but if I can be honest with you, I hate them. I prefer honesty to being nice. I once tried out for the circus and failed miserably. I’m a designer to pay the bills, I’m a photographer by choice. Hopefully those two will merge and I’ll be able to pay all sorts of bills, but until then, I accept donations. No, really, I do. I’m being honest when I say that.

No, it’s not because I’m a cheap ass. I promise. This summer I’m going on a three month roadtrip across America. I have a photography internship somewhere in there, but the main part I’m looking for is the drive. Well, the experience of the drive. The random people I’ll meet along the way. I plan on sleeping on couches or in my car. Every donation over $2, I send them a postcard with a photo I’ve taken on the front and a lovely little letter on the back.

No, really, I do. Someone donated $2 to see if I would send it. I did. For every $100 donated, I send you a 16″x20″ print of a photo from the photoblog. Pretty good deal, if I say so myself. I want to meet you. If you aren’t along the drive, I want to talk to you. Send me an e-mail, a tweet, a telegram.

Let’s try out for the circus together. I’m sure your support is all I need.

“Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.” – John Gardner

This statement explicitly describe my view on life. The experiences we go through in life – whether pleasant or unpleasant, shape us into who we are and who we strive to become. The flaws may be there and they will shape us based on how we choose to handle and respond to them. We can either stagnate or grow.

Hi I’m Misty Belardo and I am a Digital Activations Director for an ad agency.

My true love is design and self-expression.  I always encourage others to bring out their creativity to the surface and in whatever medium they feel comfortable with.

I am a designer at heart and I love hand drawn design.  I enjoy sketching, painting and doodling.  Watercolor, Pen and Ink, charcoal are preferred mediums.   I love creating avatars and hand drawn icons.  Started a weblog so that I can share my work with others.  I am very fortunate to be gifted with a very active imagination.

I try to make every moment of my existence fun. Share what I know and make an effort to make a difference in whatever I do.  Coffee is my drink of choice.  Music  inspires me.  Curiosity may have killed the cat.. but it’s a trait that keeps me exploring for new experiences and open my world to new learning’s.  Family and true friendships are important to me.  My Life is an artwork, it may have it’s imperfections, but it’s a work in progress.

Special thank you to @arnteriksen for helping me with the post and the layout. @bar0s for the photo.

Yes, that’s really me.  My husband behind the camera and styling done by a friend; the things we do for portfolio samples!

Ever since I can remember,  I’ve always wanted to be in some sort of creative field; after years of studio classes and forgotten projects I left college with a BFA proudly in-hand. What the heck was I going to do with a BFA? Who would hire me? How would I earn a living?

I was fortunate enough to refine my skills (which is an ongoing process, BTW) while working at one of the leading IR/PR firms in Chicago creating and delivering corporate materials for top-level management. For more than 15 years, I have produced distinctive communications that assist companies with building audience awareness and confidence amongst Wall Street.  I also work directly with some businesses who have very unique products/services: custom boat builder, luxury home realtor, vintage car restorer, events and a few others. My favorite projects are multi-page documents like specialty magazines, booklets, e-reports and annual reports.

I would like to formulate a transition from corporate materials into more fine art/photography with a vintage and classic flair.
